The Best Style From Our "How to Make It in Fashion" Conference

Our backdrop had some serious Hogwarts appeal.

Last Friday, more than 200 fashionistas from around the globe gathered in New York City for our third "How to Make It in Fashion" conference, where the industry's leading insiders dispensed  some sage wisdom and a little cold hard truth.

We got frank career advice from top editor in chiefs at Elle, Teen Vogue and InStyle, insights into pioneering a social media brand from DKNY PR girl herself, Aliza Licht, and practical notes on starting your own line from Jessie Randall of Loeffler Randall.

But some of our biggest takeaways from the day came from the attendees themselves in the form of serious style pointers. They impressed us with their chic, business-minded sartorial efforts-- from white-hot summer heels, to classic button-down oxfords. It didn't hurt that our backdrop, the picturesque High Line Hotel, had a fair bit of Hogwarts appeal.
