Olivia Palermo Got Married in a Sweater and Shorts

And she looked as chic as ever.

In a rather unexpected move this weekend, socialite and former reality TV star (RIP "The City") Olivia Palermo married her longtime boyfriend, model Johannes Huebl, in a very low-key civil ceremony in Bedford, New York.

Considering the press surrounding her impending nuptials — she is the June/July cover star of Brides magazine — we were sure that the couple would opt for a lavish affair, but instead, they chose a very intimate ceremony with only family and a few friends in attendance.

Palermo kept her look as laid back as her nuptials. Instead of a voluminous gown, she opted for a cream cashmere sweater tucked into a tulle skirt that she wore on top of a pair of simple white shorts — all by Carolina Herrera. To fulfill the "something blue" criteria, she chose a pair of cobalt blue Manolo Blahnik heels (the same ones Carrie Bradshaw wears to marry Big), and she finished the look with an unfussy ponytail. As per usual, she (and her hunky new husband) looked beautiful.

Head over to for more photos from the couple's big day. We wish them all the best.
