Since her days as Serena van der Woodsen on "Gossip Girl," Blake Lively has been one of the biggest style stars of her generation. The actress, who claims that she doesn't work with a stylist, has scored coveted contracts as a L'Oreal ambassador and as the face of both Chanel and a Gucci fragrance. It's also no secret that Anna Wintour has taken quite the liking to Lively over the years, as the actress has covered Vogue twice before — in 2009 and 2010 — and covered the glossy's first-ever "Best Dressed" supplement.
For the August issue of Vogue, Lively was shot by Mario Testino in mountainous Wyoming, Lively — who the magazine now addresses as an "Internet entrepreneur" — finally opens up about her new lifestyle site, Preserve. According to the magazine, the online publication and e-commerce site will focus on handcrafted goods and domestic artisans in order to "tap into [Lively's] generation’s obsession with all things small-batch: the perfectly imperfect handcrafted, the exquisitely bespoke, the deliciously artisanal." Sounds fancy!
Lively is quite open in her interview, discussing everything from her very hands-on role at the site to married life with Ryan Reynolds to those pesky comparisons to Gwyneth Paltrow and her out-of-touch lifestyle site, Goop.
