Britney Spears Is Designing Lingerie, Lululemon Ups Its Patent Game, The Row Designer Rumored for Hermès

Also, Cara Delevingne and Selena Gomez are hanging? Okay.

Important: Britney Spears is now designing lingerie. Repeat: Britney Spears is now designing lingerie. The pop star's line — "The Intimate Britney Spears" — will be sold in over 180 stores worldwide, because that is what happens when you are a global icon. Given how well she has worn bras throughout her career (under a schoolgirl outfit, with a snake, etc.), we're pretty excited to see what she turns out. {Fashionista Inbox}

Lululemon is doing its utmost to protect its brand, having filed 31 design patents on everything from its jackets' sleeve cuffs to the make of its sports bras and the printing on its yoga mats. Some might call this patent trolling — others might call it a defensive move from a brand that took a tumble at the wrong time in a rapidly expanding activewear space. It also makes Lululemon one of the few fashion brands to aggressively seek legal protection on its designs, a good reason for likeminded labels to sit up and notice. {BuzzFeed}

Hermès designer Christophe Lemaire announced his departure from the fashion house just two days ago, and the designer succession rumor mill is in full swing. The latest entrant into the ring is Nadège Vanhee. You may not know her name well, but you definitely know her work, as she is currently the women's design director at The Row and was formerly Phoebe Philo's senior designer at Céline. An announcement on Hermès's next creative director could come as early as this week. {WWD}
