There is perhaps nothing Karl Lagerfeld loves more in life than his cat Choupette (maybe saying absurd things, but it's a photo finish).
Since she's already starred in fashion editorials and had a bag named after her, the next natural step was surely a photography book, no? Harper's Bazaar UK reports that "Choupette: The Private Life of a High-Flying Fashion Cat," written by Patrick Mauriès and Jean Christophe Napias (who also wrote a book of Karl quotes), will serve as a "tell-all" of Choupette's jet-setting lifestyle.
And who else could photograph Choupette but her dear old dad? The book features images taken by the Kaiser himself, and co-stars supermodels like Laetitia Casta and Linda Evangelista.
Which begs the question: What's next? A Choupette fashion line for cats? A fragrance? When you've got nine lives, the licensing options are endless.
The book is available in the UK on September 15 for £12.95. We've reached out to Thames & Hudson for more details and a potential US release date; we will update when we hear back.
UPDATE: Choupette is being published in the US by Flammarion; it will be available Septemer 23 for $24.95.
