The Digital Media Director must be a creative, strategic thinker with strong social media experience, to develop, oversee and execute initiatives across all platforms. This person will develop effective strategy, and compelling content, as well as opportunities for increasing engagement and reach for an expanding fashion brand. The Digital Media Director will manage a Junior Graphic Designer.
•Strategize, architect & drive social media, including all content development & community engagement, across all digital platforms.
•Create KPI’s for all programs.
•Own the editorial calendar and ensure all departments are aligned and aware of all plans across social media channels.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PR and social team for major retailer.
•Establish and execute strategic social strategies and viral campaigns for specific product collections, items and/or events.
•Directly responsible for execution and posting.
•Network with influencers and fashion bloggers.
•Responsible for all measurement and analytics, while continually finding ways to improve those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
•Bachelors Degree in a related field (Communications, Journalism, Marketing, P.R., Advertising etc.).
•3-5 years experience managing and directing social media channels for a fashion or beauty brand along with public relations, advertising, graphic design, blog writing and/or social media marketing experience.
•Strong writing, editing, project management, communication and organizational skills.
•Knowledge of HTML and Adobe programs a plus.
•Experience with photography and video production a plus.
•Knowledge of social media legal guidelines a plus.
