Hamish Bowles Writes Met Tell-All, Kardashians to Leave the Hamptons

And Macy's may be about to sell the site of its Brooklyn store.

Vogue editor Hamish Bowles has certainly seen his fair share of Met Costume Institute exhibitions and galas, and now, he's lending his insider view to a new book. “Vogue & The Metropolitan Museum of Art — Costume Institute: Parties, Exhibitions, People” will focus on the exhibitions from 2001's “Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House Years" through this year's “Charles James: Beyond Fashion,” and will be available in September. {WWD}

Denizens of the Hamptons, circle this date on your calendar: August 18. That's when the Kardashians' lease for their pop-up Dash store is reportedly up, meaning Kourtney and Khloe's terrible rampage out East may be over soon. Cue collective sigh of relief. {Page Six}

Macy's is putting a hold on plans to renovate its Brooklyn location. Property values in the neighborhood have shot up to $300 to $400 per square foot, which means the brand could make a cool $300 million by selling the site. {WWD, subscription required}
