Kanye West Covers 'GQ,' Jil Sander To Let Go Of 50 Employees, Prince George Wears Petit Bateau For First Birthday Portrait

And Lupita Nyong'o is a literal ray of sunshine in Giambattista Valli.

Kanye West is the cover star of GQ's August issue. In the enclosed interview he talks fashion, Kim and writing the greatest rap verse ever. First of all, he says he is "more than 50 percent responsible" for every Balenciaga shoe that Alexander Wang sells. But also, he has this to say about his wife: "You mean to tell me that this girl with this f--king body and this face is also into style, and she's a nice person, and she has her own money and is family-oriented? That's just as cool as a f--king fighter jet or dinosaur!" Aw. {GQ}

Last year was not so kind to Jil Sander. Jil Sander posted a significant loss in 2013; according to CEO Alessandro Cremonesi, the sub-par outcome has to do with higher costs of developing the collections. The Milan-based brand is looking to let go of roughly 50 employees, none of whom are associated with the design, commercial or development departments. {WWD}

Meanwhile, it's been a big year for Prince George. The young royal was birthed, he learned to walk, he became a world-recognized style icon. To celebrate his first birthday on July 22, Kensington Palace has released a new photo of the baby, who looks very tasteful in Petit Bateau overalls and a navy polo. Frankly, we wouldn't mind taking style cues from this guy. {InStyle UK}
