Perhaps it's not surprising that the Duchess of Cambridge -- whose own outfits have driven major sales, crashed websites and offered plenty of subject material for style editors and bloggers -- has been forced to share the fashion spotlight with her son, Prince George, who turns one on Tuesday. (The event is being commemorated by a Vanity Fair cover story, which dubs the tot a "style icon.") But she doesn't seem to mind -- clearly, she puts a lot of effort into dressing the future king. In his 365 days, he's never publicly repeated a full look, and has consistently looked sharp and put-together. There's also been a patriotic slant to his wardrobe -- he pretty much only wears red, white and blue -- the perfect recipe for an easy, mix-and-match wardrobe, actually.
But most of all, the Prince's looks have been endlessly charming: Those preppy cardigans and adorable (and on-trend) overalls are too cute for words. Not to mention inspiring.
