Based in New York City, in this role you will assist with the day-to-day operational functions of Satya Twena LLC while working closely with senior level management. We are looking for an individual who is eager to demonstrate their capacity to exceed expectations in an entrepreneurial environment, and have a sincere interest in building the Satya Twena vision of fun and timeless elegance.
The Fashion Merchandising Intern supports many of the company’s operations. You will be involved with various functions helping with customer-related tasks, creating and developing social media content and management, as well as maintaining/assisting designing the studio showroom. This is the ideal position for a true go-getter with strong organizational skills, has the ability to multi-task, is creative, is eager to learn, and thrives on being in the middle of the action. Being able to work independently at a fast, detail oriented pace is important.
You’ll be reporting directly into the Operations Manager and playing a pivotal role in helping manage the company’s daily operations as well as positioning it for growth. Also, you will assist Sales in merchandising and a variety of other efforts where needed.
This is a unique role that will allow you to experience almost every part of this young company and do what it takes to help nurture it. Furthermore, this opportunity comes with the potential to extend the internship if goals are exceeded.
•Organize orders and assist staff in making sure they have what they need to execute production
•Keep the showroom tidy and assist in the seasons showroom design changes and bringing it to life
•Help customers pick out materials and package their orders
•Develop any sales and merchandising support needs and ensure thy are prepared properly and promptly
•Prepare the factory for events
•Create and post social media content for the brand
•Assist in collateral design for various project and business needs
•Junior or greater is preferred
· Relevant work experience and proven track record
· Fashion, Manufacturing or Consumer Products industry are preferred
· Familiarity with customer relationship management
· Strong written and verbal communication skills across a diverse set of audiences
· Comfort with a ground-level opportunity and has a "do-what-it-takes" attitude
· Basic data entry skills and advanced Microsoft Office (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel) skills
· Must be based in NYC
· Has a strong social media background and understanding
