Tamara Mellon Talks Sexism at Jimmy Choo, Caroline de Maigret Lands Lancôme Contract, Couture's Clients Are Skewing Young

And Jessica Simpson got married in Carolina Herrera. Congrats!

Caroline de Maigret, poster child (39-year-old, same diff) for Parisian cool, has joined Lupita Nyong'o as Lancôme's latest brand ambassador. There's a collaboration in the works for 2015, but in the meantime we'd imagine that the brand will be milking De Maigret's uber-chic French lady status for all it's worth. She does have a book on the subject coming out in September, after all. {Telegraph}

Jimmy Choo co-founder and former chief creative officer Tamara Mellon says she dealt with some pretty noxious workplace sexism from the private equity firms the footwear brand worked with, receiving accusations of not being a "team player." The whole experience has made her a staunch feminist — and an advocate. The designer, who recently launched a new line, says she has plans to create a foundation fighting gender discrimination and wage inequality. {The Times via The Standard}

But emerging economies aren't the only regions thirsty for the highest form of fashion: According to Dior, Germany is also showing signs of growth. {WWD}
