Goddesses Graced the Runway at Valentino Couture

Go Greek.

The Valentino Couture show may have been held in Paris on Wednesday, but the vibe was decidedly Greek.

We never expect anything less than a gorgeous collection from the house's designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, but the offering for fall 2014 was positively ethereal. From toga-like draped dresses to Grecian lace-up flat sandals and patterns reminiscent of ancient mosaics, the latest from the label is as appropriate for a red carpet outing as it is for a laid-back evening on the beach in Mykonos.

A bit of opulence came through at the end in the form of long-sleeved, floor-length dresses in metallic shades and sheer gowns with heavy embroidery -- classic Valentino -- which we're sure we'll be seeing on an A-list celebrity in no time.
