Saint Laurent Paris is reportedly down another executive thanks to Apple. Sources tell 9 to 5 Mac that the luxury fashion company's Europe President and Retail Head Catherine Monier started work at the tech company sometime in the past few weeks. Former Saint Laurent CEO Paul Deneve has been with Apple for about a year, and was likely involved in bringing on Monier.
Monier and Deneve will reportedly join forces to revamp Apple retail stores in preparation for the company's (again, reported) plans to launch wearable technology devices.
Neither Apple nor Saint Laurent Paris immediately responded to requests for comment.
Apple has made a number of hires from the luxury fashion arena within the past year, including former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts, former Tag Heuer executive Patrick Pruniaux and, most recently, Musa Tariq, who had worked in social media at Nike and, before that, Burberry.
Needless to say, some fancy retail updates are bound to take place.
