One of the reasons Marc Jacobs's runway shows are always so highly anticipated is that we never know what to expect, and lately that unpredictability has carried over to when he'll actually show. On time or late? On Monday or on Thursday?
This coming New York Fashion Week, Jacobs was scheduled to show at his usual 8 p.m. slot on the last day, Sept. 11 -- which in prior season has been a little problematic for buyers and editors who've wanted to be in London in time for shows the next day. According to WWD, Jacobs wanted to give showgoers a little more wiggle room, so he's moved his show time two hours earlier to 6 p.m. Hopefully you haven't booked your tickets already guys!
That's not all: Because of the scheduling change, Jacobs apparently also had to make a venue change -- from his usual spot, the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington, to the Seventh Regiment Armory at Park Avenue between 66th and 67th Streets.
Always keeping us on our toes, that Marc.
