Matt Rice,'s associate publisher of the past two years, has been promoted to publisher of and NowManifest. The appointment follows Tuesday's announcement that Conde Nast is selling Fairchild Fashion Media's trade publications, including WWD and Footwear News, to Penske Media for a reported $100 million.

In a press statement, Conde Nast noted that has had a "strong first half," with advertising revenue up 9 percent over last year, and traffic up 10 percent in recent months (not bad for summer). claims to bring in 2.1 million unique visitors every month.

Rice's appointment won't be the last – we expect to see a great deal of shuffling on both the editorial and publisher sides of what were until recently Fairchild's publications. Gina Sanders, Fairchild's former president and CEO, is expected to be named to a new position at Conde Nast's parent company, Advance Publications, shortly.
