Y'all, it happened. The world's most famous bachelor, George Clooney, got married over the weekend to the beautiful (and brilliant) Amal Alamuddin, in a star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy on Saturday. All weekend, we were tracking the stellar ensembles that the 36-year-old human rights lawyer wore to celebrate her big day — the Alexander McQueen red gown for the rehearsal dinner, the Stella McCartney cream suit for the official ceremony and, our favorite, the Giambattista Valli embroidered dress for brunch — but we hadn't seen her actual gown until Tuesday morning, when it was unveiled (no pun intended) in all its glory.
Alamuddin's traditional French lace wedding dress by Oscar de la Renta graces the cover of People, Hello and the New York Post this morning, and it's stunning. With it's off-the-shoulder neckline, hand-embroidered pearls and gemstones, dramatic train and matching cathedral-length veil edged with lace, it might be our favorite Hollywood wedding gown we've seen this year — and there have been a lot. Congrats to the happy couple, and to De la Renta for really knocking this one out of the park.
