Of all the larger-than-life personalities we run into every Fashion Week, the most mysterious (and intimidating) by far is Vogue's Anna Wintour. Often sitting cross-armed in the front row with giant sunglasses on, she's easy to dismiss as a cold, aloof character. But, we've seen her loosen up in enough situations to know this isn't entirely the case — for instance, at the U.S. Open last week, we saw her smiling ear to ear after watching her favorite female player, Serena Williams, win her match.
Still, Wintour will rarely open up about her personal life, but when the camera belongs to Vogue, she seems to feel a bit more comfortable. The editor is the latest subject of the magazine's "73 Questions" video series, and in the lightening-fast interview, she shares her opinions on a number of relevant topics, including selfies, tennis, Apple and Brooklyn (spoiler: she likes it there!). In reference to her job, she shares the one fashion word she wishes everyone would stop using, and her favorite thing about working at Vogue. As a bonus, there's a cameo by Karlie Kloss, as well as a guest appearance by Oscar de la Renta via speakerphone.
Yes, it seems very rehearsed, but Wintour comes off as warm and funny and all of the things that we dream that she's like IRL, when she's just doing normal stuff, like hanging out with her bestie Roger Federer at Balthazar. That is, unless he makes the mistake of bringing up his "personal journey."
