Athletic wear giant Under Armour has put a major emphasis on its "I Will What I Want" women's campaign as of late, bringing some seriously badass ladies — ballerina Misty Copeland, skier Lindsey Vonn and tennis player Sloane Stephens among them — into the spotlight, along with the label's fashion-forward activewear. Now, fitting in with the overwhelming popularity of all things fitness-related in the fashion world, Under Armour has signed Gisele Bündchen as its newest women's face, with her campaign due to launch on Sept. 4.
The brand posted a teaser video of the supermodel's upcoming spots on its YouTube page on Tuesday. Unsurprisingly, Bündchen looks enviably fit and ready to kick some butt in a boxing gym, dressed head-to-toe in sleek separates from Under Armour. ESPN is reporting that the model has inked a multi-year contract with the brand, and she's following in the footsteps of her husband Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, who signed an endorsement deal with Under Armour in 2010. We love a good fashion family affair, don't you?
Since Bündchen has a long history of working behind-the-scenes in fashion and is the designer of her own lingerie line, we're curious to find out whether she had a hand in creating the collection she models. We've reached out to Under Armour for more information and will update as we hear more.
