To all those rummaging through their closets in a panic, confused about how to dress for this hot-and-cold transitional fall weather, please a) breathe and b) look to Natalie Dormer for inspiration. As the "Game of Thrones" star demonstrated at Dior's Paris Fashion Week show on Friday, she has it under control.
Dormer's Dior look is no-frills and elegant — minimal colors, streamlined cut — but thanks to that trail of wayward buttons and the subtle texture contrast of the coat and her quilted dress beneath, it's somehow still interesting. Kind of like when someone does pretty, girly curls and then adds in a badass smoky eye for edge. The whole look does right by Dormer's vibe, which we've come to understand as both feminine and tough.
But back to the original point: fall dressing. When things get too hot in the middle of the day, you'll be glad you wore bare legs, but a knee-length coat is your best friend in the evening. Dior recommended, obviously.
