Rachel Comey is looking for apparel design focused students to intern in their office starting immediately. The student will gain invaluable experience in design, sample making, production, and even sales and marketing. He or she will be a big part of the development of the Pre-Fall 2015 and Fall 2015 collections, and will be working alongside the design team at Rachel Comey to research, source materials, and develop ideas. We are looking for forward-thinking, creative students who feel comfortable researching silhouettes and shapes, creating color stories and mood boards, as well as creating flat sketches, and organizing samples, trims, and fabrics for our design library. An understanding of construction and sewing knowledge is helpful.
The ideal candidate can commit to a full semester of at least 2 full days a week, and must be proactive and team oriented.
This is a great way to get insight on the inner workings of a small design firm in a fun & creative environment! This internship is eligible for school credit as well. This is a non-paid internship.
