No one makes casual dressing look more natural -- or sophisticated -- than Sofia Coppola. Amid all of the color, layering, proportion-jiggling and stiletto-tripping that is Paris Fashion Week, Coppola arrived at Sonia Rykiel's show on Monday looking so understated and chic in a striped knit sweater and cropped faded trousers (we can't quite tell if those are denim or suede), finished with mid-heel black Valentino pumps, a black clutch and a white bangle. The pieces are so simple, but it's the mix of classic forms (the sweater) with trendy cuts (the trousers) that make it modern, and the addition of vintage-inspired shapes (the coin purse-shaped clutch and heels) which make the look truly unique. There's something old, something new and it's all very Coppola.
Best Dressed: Kate Bosworth, Sofia Coppola, Elle Fanning and More
This week, Kate Bosworth glammed it up in Derek Lam. Sienna Miller sported a perfect daytime look of cropped trousers and white sweater by Topshop. Freida Pinto looked gorgeous as usual in a bold Alexander McQueen number. Finally, Elle Fanning and her Somewhere director Sofia Coppola both looked lovely in Marchesa and Celine, respectively.
