"Girls" star Zosia Mamet showed up at Honor's spring 2015 show Thursday sporting a brand new platinum blonde choppy bob (chob?) -- a really big deal because there's just always something shocking about a celebrity going platinum, and perhaps because her (and her character's) hair has been a topic of conversation pretty much since she started the show.
Someone else who might know a bit about this is Mamet's co-star Lena Dunham, who also recently unveiled a fairly drastic blonde dye job -- which apparently just got even more drastic. On Thursday, Dunham attended a Bergdorf Goodman event celebrating Betty Halbreich (about whom she's creating a new HBO show) with an even shorter pixie.
Dunham has said that she likes making drastic hair changes after "Girls" filming wraps, but in Mamet's case, she just wanted a change.
"I just wanted to go blonde," she said simply when we chatted with her at the Honor show. "No, I can’t change my hair while we’re filming, it happens when we’re done, but not for any particular reason. I was just looking for something fun."
It will be interesting to see if and how these hairdos get written into the show the season after next.
