Alexander Wang's collection of performance-wear for H&M hits shelves on November 6, but before you head to your nearest store and start camping out, you should see the clothing in action first. At his presentation of the collaboration in New York last week, Wang not only staged a full-on runway show, he also put on a display of serious athleticism, with acrobats and parkour runners performing choreographed moves in pieces from the H&M line.
Now, the campaign film for the collection has arrived, and it goes one step further in putting the clothes to the test. Opening with the designer in a futuristic locker room, we see models preparing to embark on a momentous competition: against fellow models, against the elements and against themselves.
We see Natasha Poly scaling walls and somersaulting through bricks, Joan Smalls escaping a blizzard on a makeshift snowboard, Isabeli Fontana dodging balls with Matrix-like moves and Raquel Zimmermann being generally badass on a motorcycle — and all of this goes down while they wear survival gear from the H&M collection, of course. It's all very "Hunger Games" and all very, very Wang. Watch the film in full below.
