What We Bought at the First U.S. & Other Stories

Now that the site's back up you can buy it, too.

Not even a torrential downpour could keep us Fashionista editors (and lots of other editors) from Wednesday night's opening party for & Other Stories in Soho. It helped that the H&M-owned brand's first U.S. store is located a mere two blocks from our office, but that fact will not help our wallets, as we pretty much wanted to buy everything.

It was one of those events where people didn't show up just to see the store, drink champagne and mingle (of course there was plenty of that, too) — they showed up to shop. I for one picked up a pretty perfect wool mini skirt, a wool dress ideal for layering over sweaters and tights, and I might go back for a great everyday gray cashmere sweater that I can't stop thinking about. Cheryl got a pair of very chic black trousers, a cool button down with a pearl button at the top and an awesome black scuba sweatshirt.

Click through the gallery for our top picks. After a hiccup this morning, the brand's new U.S. site is now up and shoppable. If you're in New York, the store, located at 575 Broadway, opens Friday.
