Exposure communications is seeking a talented & proven PR Account Director to join the Fashion & Lifestyle team.
- Reporting to the PR Director, your responsibilities include strong team & client leadership, development & planning of best in class PR strategies, driving organic growth where possible on all accounts and within the agency. In this key role, you will demonstrate a strong, established network of media and influencer contacts & work with an integrated approach across the agency
Responsibilities
- Be the strategic lead on each account across both delivery of PR strategies and the general approach to the clients’ growth
- Produce highly effective PR results in an efficient manor
- Build client relations through instilling confidence in clients and demonstrating you add value to the relationship
- Take responsibility for maintaining best in class PR output of work
- Constantly look for opportunities for your clients
- Proactively direct & manage accounts against budget
- Ensure clear and accurate budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure best in class output on all documents produced on the account (press releases, proposals etc.)
- Ensure solid research and evaluation methods are in place against all activity
- Lead, motivate and mentor members of the team, supporting them in their workload and delegating work appropriately
- Be a media expert and educate / nurture the team
- Proactively involve other areas of the business and manage these relationships to add value to a PR campaign and ensure a media rich approach to all briefs
- Upward management – manage relevant issues upwards and ensure senior members of the team are up to date on all client activity
- Clearly manage own workload and ensure you manage any concerns with your Department Director effectively
- Ensure all work is captured for case studies and credentials
- Proactively monitor relevant industry media – be abreast of what is happening
- Constantly demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the media, media landscapes and media segments and trends both to clients and within the team
- Constantly demonstrate an advanced knowledge of influencer & celebrity communities both to clients and within the team
- Demonstrate a broad 360 understanding of the marketing environment – e.g. how things in the world affect the brands you work on, marketing campaigns past and present etc
Experience & skills
- Graduate with at least 8 years of relevant & recent experience
- Agency experience preferred
- Proven experience as a leader in communications with a focus on fashion & lifestyle
- Creative thinking & idea generation is critical to the role- proven track record
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, pressure-filled environment
- Ability to create a positive impact on business through strong relationships, both internal and external
- Confidence in suggesting calculated risks
- Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent presentation skills
- Well-organized, methodical and efficient, with initiative and drive
- Ability (& proven track record) of securing meaningful media placements & PR campaigns
- Ability to secure media attendance at events
- Ability to deal with team issues such as performance issues and motivation
- Ability to think in an integrated manner
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint (Keynote a plus)
