We start getting loads of press releases about holiday products starting in September, but there's only one for which we wait with baited breath: the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book.
The reason for this is quite simple: It is batsh*t crazy. Past offerings have included the Versailles of chicken coops ($100,000) and a customizable fountain ($1 million). The 2014 book is here, and while it stays below the $500,000 mark -- a press release says over 40 percent of the book is under $250 -- there's still some insane gift ideas in here.
For the couple who has everything, you could buy a His & Hers Vilebrequin Quadski, which, for those who don't know, is a land/water jetski. (If it makes a difference, it only takes five seconds to convert!) Also on offer is a Vanity Fair Academy Awards Experience at $425,000, which includes styling and an invite to the Vanity Fair party, and a 100th Anniversary Neiman Marcus Limited-Edition Maserati Ghibli S Q4 at $95,000.
Shockingly, those aren't the most expensive options. That honor goes to the House of Creed Custom Fragrance and Trip (to Paris), which rings in at $475,000. The cheapest option: a Molton Brown Bubble Bath Bauble at $15. Hey, it's no Quadski, but it'll do.
