The fashion world is still reeling from the death of Oscar de la Renta, who passed away on Monday after a long battle with cancer. There was an outpouring of love for the 82-year-old designer from the entire industry, with some of fashion's biggest names — Anna Wintour, Cathy Horyn, Sarah Jessica Parker and more — taking to the public sphere to share sincere words of remembrance and tribute.
Now, those closest to the designer will be able to congregate to celebrate his life at a private funeral mass in New York City. WWD reports that the ceremony will be held at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola at Park Avenue and 84th Street, near De la Renta's home in Manhattan.
Considering how many industry greats looked up to De la Renta for his immense talent, unwavering creativity and kindness, we expect this will be one of the most crowded services the church has ever seen.
