Tyler's Skin Perfecting Foundation
Foundation is really, really tricky for me: I want coverage just to even out my skin tone and cover up imperfections, but I don't want anything too heavy and I don't want to look "made up." Plus, my pale skin makes color matching tricky; the wrong shade is immediately noticeable.
I'd been loyal to my foundation, Chanel's Vitalumière Aqua, for a few years now, but recently I noticed that I was getting much dewier than I wanted to be by midday. The idea of finding a new foundation was literally agonizing to me (I hate it that much), so I figured sticking with Chanel would be a safe bet.
Luckily, the brand just introduced this Perfection Lumière Velvet foundation, a lightweight formula very similar to my beloved Vitalumière but with a matte rather than luminous finish. It lasts longer on my oil-prone skin and keeps the shine at bay much longer as well. At $45, it isn't cheap, but I use so little that a bottle will last for months.
