Position: L+S is currently seeking a Junior Account Executive . In this position you will be responsible for executing routine media relations activities, program reporting, project execution and daily account maintenance.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Budget/Expense Management:
· Baseline understanding of expense management for assigned program elements
· Drafts and contributes to all necessary media and client materials as directed
Media Relations
· Creates, qualifies and maintains media lists
· Handles routine media inquiries and provides credit information
· Monitors media and reports on client news and trends
· Identifies opportunities via media monitoring
· Successfully places stories in media outlets such as with bloggers, online, long-lead and short-lead media, as directed by supervisors
· Developing understanding of media strategy and how this meets clients’ marketing requirements
Program/Project Management
· Executes program tactics under supervision, i.e. events, mailings, vendor management
· Coordinates distribution of product samples/fulfillment of product requests
· Maintains product inventory in an orderly manner
· Maintains vendor database, tracking grids and client contact sheets
· Participates in brainstorms
· Responsible for preparation and execution of all meetings, meeting material, event and travel logistics
· Understands appropriate protocol for internal agency departments (i.e. Digital, Accounting, HR, IT, Graphic Services)
People Management
· Supervises intern(s)
· Developing a negotiating style/skill appropriate to each medium, i.e. vendors, editors, etc.
Client Management
· Ability to clearly articulate thoughts and communicate effectively with clients in-person and on calls
· Maintains client reports
· Responds to all appropriate client requests promptly with enthusiasm and accuracy

Skills, Qualifications and Knowledge:
· Bachelors degree with internship experience/ 1 year of prior agency experience a plus
· Developing presentation skills and delivery skills
· Familiar with the names and faces of key editors, influencers and celebrities
· Assists with research for new business pitches
· Accountable for knowing account deliverables and deadlines
· Ample interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
· Demonstrates initiative and ability to “take the next step”
· Possesses ability to identify issues and develop solutions
· Thinks creatively and is able to generate/contribute ideas
· Motivated, ambitious and actively working to take on tasks outside of scope
· Desire to learn about all areas of the business
· Able to handle a busy workload, prioritize and be flexible
· Demonstrates understanding of media (outlets, terminology, editors, reporters, photographers)
· Strong attention-to-detail, organization and time management skills
· Knowledge of the role social media should play in all PR campaigns
· Proficient with all relevant software programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Cision, Fashion GPS
· Understanding of industry trends
