Oscar de la Renta Laid to Rest in Private Ceremony

Supermodels and former First Ladies alike came out on Monday to pay tribute to the designer.

Designer Oscar de la Renta was a legend in the American fashion industry, having spent decades making women look beautiful in his fantastic creations. So naturally, many of those women — along with his peers in the industry — made time to attend his private memorial held at St. Ignatius Loyola Church in New York City on Monday morning.

Some of the biggest names in fashion turned out to pay their respects: Anna Wintour, Karlie Kloss, Michael Kors and Valentino Garavani were just a few were present at the ceremony. Attendees weren't just limited to the fashion pack; Diane Sawyer, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush were also among guests.

Mr. de la Renta passed away at age 82, surrounded by his loved ones at home.
