Apple has finally firmed up its timing on the release of the hotly anticipated Apple Watch. On the company's first quarter earnings call Tuesday afternoon, CEO Tim Cook said that the plan is to start shipping the device in April.
Up until now, widespread rumors claimed that Apple would start shipping the watch in March, although the company remained officially hazy on its launch schedule. "Early 2015" was its estimate.
Cook adds that the Apple team is hard at work in the last stages of perfecting the apps and software designed specifically for the device. We're sure they are. The rest of us will have to wait a few months to experience the final results.
