When I decided to model my fall #aesthetic after this W Magazine editorial, I knew I had to at least consider the possibility of Dr. Martens.
The problem? Well, honestly, they intimidate me. They're a calling card for a certain type of style, someone much cooler and more bad-ass than me. Also, I generally fear they'll make my feet look weirdly enormous.
I saw this particular style on Eva Chen and thought they were the perfect compromise. Thanks to the almond-shaped toe, they're sleeker than the classic style, but still just as durable as the originals.
Dr. Martens 'Alix' boot, $140, available at Zappos.com.
