After a year-long hiatus — one that's seen Lena Dunham's beautiful friendship with Taylor Swift blossom and Allison Williams take a theater-geeky turn as Peter Pan in a live-action TV musical — HBO's buzzed-about series "Girls" is making its return to the small screen this Sunday, January 11.
When we left the girls off, there were more than just a few changes abound: Dunham's character Hannah Horvath was accepted into the prestigious Iowa Writers' Workshop, and contemplating leaving her life in New York (as well as her boyfriend, Adam) to attend. The other ladies were in similarly perplexing situations, with Jessa spiraling back into addiction, Shoshanna begging her ex-boyfriend Ray to take her back and Marnie ending up as the "other woman" by seducing her musical partner, Desi. Got all that?
While each character's story arcs leave lots up in the air, the women who play them showed up to the Season 4 premiere at the American Museum of Natural History looking just as we remember them: Dunham wearing a look that's chic, but slightly offbeat; Williams in something elegant and sparkly; Zosia Mamet in a youthful, flirty minidress and Jemima Kirke in unique, vintage-inspired pieces. Take a look at what the "Girls" girls wore on their big night in the gallery below, and tune in to our weekly fashion recaps once the new season kicks off on Sunday.
