The good news keeps on rolling in from the retail sector. While British brands like Burberry and Asos both had solid holiday seasons and spending rose 4 percent in the U.S., Sweden's H&M is reporting that its sales were also up in the month of December.
At 15 percent sales growth, it wasn't the fast fashion retailer's best month in 2014; that would be August and May, which both experienced 19 percent bumps relative to the year prior. But December did show the highest growth since August, up from November's 10 percent growth. Here's hoping the upward trend continues next year.
At the end of December, H&M had 3,537 stores in operation, compared to 3,176 at the same time the year before.
