Fashionista’s biannual “How to Make It in Fashion” Conference returned to Los Angeles on Nov. 14, and this year’s outing at the Line Hotel was one of our biggest successes to date.

Industry A-listers, including designers and stylists, came on stage to discuss the trials and tribulations they faced while building their brands. Collectively, they shared a wealth of practical information for those who are looking to get their feet in the door of the fashion industry, as well as for those more advanced in their careers who might be looking to take the next step.

In addition to career advice, our sponsor Tide helped to bring awareness to its washable fashion initiative — clothing that’s as easy to care for as it is to wear — with an on-site activation that featured washable clothing by both established and emerging designers. Tide’s Washable Fashion ambassador, "Fashion Police" co-host and celebrity stylist George Kotsiopoulos was on hand as well, offering a special lunchtime speech on the future of fashion.
