Karl Lagerfeld Justifies Using Fur, Nordstrom To Release Capsule Collection Featuring DVF and Tory Burch

Lara Stone and comedian David Walliams have agreed on a trial separation after nearly five years of marriage. According to a source, "David has been putting on a brave face. But people close to him are very worried because they know he's devastated." The Dutch model reportedly left the couple's North London home on Tuesday night with the couple's one-year-old son Alfred and dog Bert. Last week, Fendi announced that Karl Lagerfeld will be presenting Fendi's first fur-centric couture show in the same week as Chanel's Haute Couture collection. In a time when the use of real fur seems rather unnecessary, the designer defends his choice, stating: "It’s very easy to say no fur, no fur, no fur, but it’s an industry. Who will pay for all the unemployment of the people if you suppress the industry of the fur?" A lot of people would disagree with that argument, but okay. {The New York Times

On March 9, Nordstrom and Piece & Co will debut a capsule collection created by eight brands including Diane Von Furstenberg, Alice + Olivia and Tory Burch. Piece & Co, which provides sustainable job opportunities for female artisans, was apparently able to create 5,000 jobs through this partnership. {Fashionista Inbox}
