Street style stars typically mix high and low, but in Milan this week, showgoers kept their looks all high. Head-to-toe designer looks from recent seasons (and even from this season) were the norm, not the exception. Other trends we spotted were multiple bags -- for maximum designer exposure -- and large, furry coats, as well as Stan Smiths.
See nine trends from Milan Fashion Week below -- from the literal, like dark olive green tones, to the situational, like duos who hit the streets in matching looks. It's all photographer bait in our eyes.
Suits and Coordinates
Matching separates and menswear-inspired suiting.
Two bodies, one unified aesthetic.
The flavor of the week was a dark, military-esque green.
Showgoers often skipped the tights, showing a bit of skin over their knee-high boots.
Plants and Animals
Flora and fauna appeared in prints and embroidery.
Pure Photography Bait
We are guilty of loving these quirky or distinctive shoes and bags.
The shape is everywhere -- in prints, grommets and other embellishments.
