I thoroughly dislike being accosted by perfume-spritzing salespeople on the beauty floor of a department store, but I must admit that when I found myself in this very scenario last week — it worked. While shopping around for spring goodies, a cheery woman approached me with this scent from French label Carven, and immediately broke into her (well-rehearsed) spiel about how lovely it is: fresh, light, floral — basically all of the best things about the season blended together in a chic glass bottle.
Though my normal reaction is to politely decline and go along my merry way, something told me I should check this fragrance out, and boy, am I glad I did. It's not too sweet, but has that youthful, girly vibe that Carven's collections are known for. It truly smells delicious enough to wear every day — and every night — when the weather gets warm. I expect my bottle will be all used up come September.
Carven L'Eau de Toilette, from $82, available at Nordstrom.
