It's easy to forget that Condé Nast has a lot going on outside of the high-profile magazines it operates. Like, for instance, the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, which opened in London in 2013 and offers courses in areas like journalism and styling, varying in scope from a weekend to 10 weeks to a year.
Now that more than 400 students have passed through the institution's doors, the company is preparing to open a second location called the Condé Nast Center of Fashion & Design in Shanghai this fall. Right off the bat, it will be offering courses in marketing, design, digital communication and perfume, along with one called "Boost Your Luxury Business in China." More classes in retail, illustration and social media will come later on.
A rep for Condé Nast International didn't immediately respond to a request for further information, but according to Business of Fashion, the Shanghai center will be aimed more directly at postgrad students and the material tailored specifically to the Chinese market. Which, hey, is probably the right thing for people looking to break into the luxury space to look into. Apply away, fashionheads.
