Jenna Lyons Has a New Haircut and We're Into It
In case you missed it — and we did, because we clearly weren't paying enough attention to Jenna Lyons's social calendar last month — J.Crew's president and creative director debuted a new haircut at a CFDA event last month. And it looks really, really good.
It's an easy, natural look, pretty much the opposite of the slicked-down bun she's worn for the last few years. At the Time 100 gala on Tuesday night she went the unfussy, voluminous route, pushing it up and back without a part. But it also sits nicely just tucked behind her ears: See Lyons's appearance a Cipriani Wall Street event in early April, below.
The new look seems symbolic, too; a personal gesture at a time when J.Crew's flagging performance on the sales floor suggests that the collection's aesthetic is in need of a refresher.
But maybe it's just a haircut. Either way, it looks damn good.
