More bad news for Band of Outsiders: Following our story last week that the 11-year-old label had cancelled its fall wholesale orders and laid off the majority of its staff, a salesperson at the brand's Soho location confirmed to Fashionista that the store will be closing at the end of June.
The store only opened last September, and is the LA-based label's only brick and mortar location in the U.S. (There is also a Band of Outsiders store operated by a Asian partner in Tokyo.) Everything at the store is currently 40 percent off. News that the store was closing was first reported by WWD.
The brand has yet to comment on what is happening — a press representative declined to comment about the layoffs and fall collection cancellation last week, and did not respond to requests for comment about the store closing on Friday — but things aren't looking too great.
