Everyone Wore Jumpsuits and Crop Tops to the Billboard Music Awards
The most recent round of red carpet events have all been about fashion with a capital "F." The Met Gala, the Cannes Film Festival and a number of high-profile resort shows have brought out dramatic, show-stopping looks that range from couture to custom-made and just ooze glamour. On Sunday night, many of music and fashion's biggest names headed to Las Vegas for the Billboard Music Awards, which isn't exactly known for a stellar red carpet showing.
Music awards shows are often the place where celebrities will bust out the sequins, short hemlines and slightly risqué ensembles that might be considered too flashy or edgy for other events, and this year's attendees kept that tradition going. However, there seemed to be a sartorial theme happening, as the majority of the evening's memorable looks fell into one of two categories: jumpsuits or crop tops.
The night's big winner, Taylor Swift, wowed us in a slinky white jumpsuit by Balmain (which fittingly announced its upcoming collaboration with H&M during the Billboard Music Awards pre-show), and a number of other celebrities followed suit, including the night's host Chrissy Teigen, presenter Ellen Pompeo (fresh off her cameo in Swift's "Bad Blood" music video) and Molly Ringwald.

Those who didn't get the jumpsuit memo certainly got the crop tops/cutouts one, as the rest of the night's most memorable looks — including a loud two-piece Fausto Puglisi ensemble that Zendaya Coleman arrived in — showed more than just a hint of skin. It's not often that we see so many belly buttons exposed on one red carpet, but leave it to the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Rita Ora to give the tricky look a shot. As to whether their gowns were a success, we'll let you be the judge.
