It seems that model Cara Delevingne has fully transitioned into the "actress" stage of her career: Following lead roles in "Paper Towns" and "Suicide Squad," she's has nabbed herself yet another major film.
Director Luc Besson is adapting "Valerian," a sci-fi graphic novel series by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezieres, for the big screen, and Delevingne is co-starring alongside Dane DeHaan as Laureline. Besson directed the sci-fi classic "The Fifth Element," starring former model Milla Jovovich, so clearly he's not afraid of working with fashion types.
According to the release, filming on "Valerian" starts at the end of this year, with a projected summer 2017 premiere. With "Paper Towns" due out in July and "Suicide Squad" next August, we're in store for some very Cara-filled summers at the movie theater for the next few years.
