Lindsay Lohan's relationship with the fashion industry — specifically as a designer — has been a rocky one. You may remember the critically panned collection she designed alongside Estrella Archs for Ungaro back in October 2009, or the line of leggings she founded called 6126, which landed her in some legal hot water over licensing issues. Earlier this year, Lohan collaborated with Civil Clothing and PacSun on a namesake capsule, but needless to say, we didn't see much fanfare surrounding its release.
Lohan's modeling gigs have fared better than her design ones — she covered Wonderland magazine in 2014 and made an appearance in Love's advent calendar over the holidays — so we're curious as to what the 28-year-old's most recent fashion project might be. She posted a photo to Instagram on Wednesday that strongly hinted at a collaboration with the edgy British brand Lavish Alice, and that the accompanying campaign would star Lohan herself, shot by Rankin. Reps for Lavish Alice did not respond to our request for confirmation.
According to her post, the fruits of her labor with the label will be available in June on its website. If you follow Lohan on social media, it's clear that she lives and breathes fashion. But after her design mishaps in the past, is there any way that the industry — and, more importantly, shoppers — can take her seriously again?
