President Obama will tour Nike's headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, Friday as part of his on-the-road campaign promoting his trade agenda and the developing Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement. According to White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, Obama believes Nike illustrates "how a responsible trade agreement that includes enforceable labor and environmental standards" benefits the American economy. {WWD

Photographer Cass Bird skipped the Met Gala's red carpet Monday to focus her lens on the real action: celebrities socializing in the bathroom. Snapping away while Miley Cyrus touched up her lipstick and models posed for mirror selfies was "such a visual, energetic overload," Bird says. {Vogue}

Ralph Lauren is opening a luxury concept in Milan for VIP customers this September. Located on Via San Barnaba, the 11,840-square-foot estate showcases the brand's collections exclusively for guests, with dining, customization and tailoring services available. Lauren says he wanted to create "the ultimate expression of luxury." {WWD}
