Memorial Day Weekend just kicked off the long-awaited summer and vacation season, which means it's high time to get our travel style on point. Considering the never-ending lines at security, tragically limited leg room (if you're in coach, anyway) and risk of emotional trauma, it's way too easy to resort to yoga pants, a sloppy t-shirt and slides for those long flights. But leave it to Sienna Miller, who basically stole the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, to show us how airport dressing should be done — and without sacrificing function for fashion.
Instead of surrendering to the aforementioned go-to airplane uniform for her flight out of Nice, Miller effortlessly elevated her travel pieces with black ankle-zip skinny jeans, a comfy, silky paneled tank and a light blue wrap thrown around her neck because it gets really drafty on those planes. Her studded Prada sandals are totally practical: flat, in case she has to book it to make a connection, and easy to remove and put back on during security checks — all without holding up the line. (Traveling back from Belize, I watched a girl cause a security bottleneck as she took what seemed like an eternity to re-lace her knee-high gladiator sandals. Total rookie move.) Also, Miller's blush pink Coccinelle Arlettis bag looks roomy enough to hold her travel documents, a mini-device for entertainment and a couple of Kind bars in case she needs a snack. Although, presumably, they'll feed her in First Class.
