After snuggling up against Justin Bieber's photoshopped body for Calvin Klein earlier this year, Lara Stone is back, this time caressing Kate Moss for Balenciaga's fall 2015 campaign — and the result is far more scintillating. This is Alexander Wang, after all.
The two stunning models, photographed by Steven Klein, appear locked in various embraces that could be aggressive or affectionate, or both. They are paired in matching or complementary fabrics, earrings and makeup that make them near-mirror images of each other. The long sharp and slicked down sideburns, also seen at the runway show, contribute to the surreal and futuristic tone set by the gray geometric background.
Stone takes the active lead — holding, climbing on top of and looking at Moss. Whatever the context, and despite the general lack of exposed skin, these images are bursting with a passion, tension and sexuality that make the Calvin Klein campaign look dull by comparison. No abs required.
