Just when we thought that the whole "festival fashion" movement had reached its saturation point — with designers like Etro, Chloé and Valentino sending super-luxe, Coachella-ready pieces down the runways for spring — Donatella Versace brought it to a whole new level with her label's fall 2015 couture collection. With their hair in undone, bohemian waves wrapped with delicate flower crowns, models like Lara Stone, Doutzen Kroes, Sasha Pivovarova and Anja Rubik gave off hippie-meets-woodland nymph vibes in looks that incorporated fringe, sexy cut-outs, bell sleeves and wild florals — many of which wrapped around their bodies like vines.
While the mood of the collection was decidedly more low-key than Versace's power woman-inspired fall ready-to-wear show, there were still plenty of looks that we expect to see hit the red carpets in the coming months, from the airy, Grecian dresses that seemed to float off the body, to the floor-length gowns adorned with sparkles and velvet. While the body-con, cage-like gowns that made up the latter part of the show (and that Versace's well-known for) are nearly impossible for mere mortals to pull off, we're looking forward to seeing Versace's supermodel muses — including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who sat front row during the show — make appearances wearing this collection for long after festival season comes to a close. These are gowns fit for goddesses, after all.
