At the tail end of a tear-filled evening, one thing was clear: It was Caitlyn Jenner's night at the 2015 ESPY Awards. For her very first red carpet appearance to receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, Jenner wore one of her now go-to silhouettes: a sleek, slim-fitting wrap dress, courtesy of Versace, paired with Stuart Weitzman sandals. With an elegant bodice, long sleeves and delicate baubles, the look was just what we expected — major.
After a moving montage, Jenner accepted the award from yet another celebrated Olympian: Abby Wambach, the 35-year-old soccer star who helped lead the U.S. Women's National Team to its World Cup victory earlier this month. ESPN announced that Jenner would receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award in June, the same day Vanity Fair revealed her explosive, groundbreaking cover.
Daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner hit the red carpet as well, with Kendall wearing a black mesh situation and Kylie in a head-to-toe gold gown. Might the latter look have been a flashy salute to Caitlyn's – formerly Bruce's — historic Olympic wins?
Jenner's stepdaughter Kim Kardashian also shared a behind-the-scenes peek at the honoree's 12-person-strong ESPYs support squad, which included Kendall and Kylie, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian and sons Brody, Burt and Brandon (plus, their wives and girlfriends). If this doesn't go down as the family's proudest, most historic moment, we don't know what will.
