Capezio — the dance apparel and accessories brand that outfits young girls everywhere with ballet shoes and leotards and such — wisely named Maddie Ziegler its brand ambassador in May. Not only is this her first campaign for the brand, but it also marks the debut of a new collaboration with Betsey Johnson.
Capezio tapped the former dancer to create a capsule collection in the kooky and colorful way only Johnson can. Featuring nylon spandex leggings, briefs, camis, leotards, graphic tops and tutus in lace, floral and animal print, the collection targets young dancers who want something a little more fun to dance in. The collection is available now, with prices ranging from $20 to $120.
Talk about synergy. Not only is Ziegler a dancer first and foremost, but this past year we've seen the "Dance Moms" star's profile rise astronomically thanks to her numerous appearances in hit music videos for the pop singer Sia and editorials in magazines like Dazed.
